Margaret Dorothy Roden (Peg, née Peggy Birrell), of Stoney Creek (formerly of Toronto) on Thursday, August 14, 2014, in her 103rd year. Beloved wife for 64 years of the late George Bruce Roden. Loved mother of Robert (Susan) of Toronto, Thomas (Shirleyann) of Grimsby, William (Anh) of Milpitas, California, and Sally Ann Barrett (James) of Ajax, Ontario. Predeceased by sister Juliet Deans of Stroud and Mississauga, sister Mildred Mathewson of Toronto, brother William Birrell of Collingwood, and brother Richard Birrell of Bobcaygeon. Loving grandmother of Andrew, Bruce, Charles, Christopher, David, Rebecca, Tamara, Timothy, and Tyler. Much loved great-grandmother of Aaron, Amelia, Emma, Jackson, Julian, Kennedy Ann, Kevin, Mason, Natasha, Reilly, Sydney, and Victoria. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, from 1 to 4 pm. Cremation taking place; there will be no Funeral Service. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army or Mission Services of Hamilton would be appreciated by the family.
