Obituary of Larry George Davey

DAVEY, Larry George Passed away on Monday, August 22, 2011, surrounded by family and friends at Juravinski Hospital, at the age of 58. Larry is greatly missed by his loving wife, Laura, his children Chad (Karen), Chelsey (Shane), Lori, Michael and Sean (Cheri) and grandchildren Danielle (Paul), James (Caitlin), Nicole and Brittany. Survived by his brother Fred, as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Euphemia, and his brother Harry Coote (Judy). He will be dearly missed by his pet and loyal companion, Farley. Larry was liked by everyone who met him and will be fondly remembered by his many dear friends. Larry worked at Baycoat for nearly 25 years, he loved hockey and enjoyed playing in the Oldtimers Hockey League. Larry was a proud member of the Wentworth Masonic Lodge #166. The family wishes to extend its sincerest gratitude to the staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and the staff of Ward F4 Oncology as well as to the CCAC team, in particular Jennifer Ramsay, for their exceptional care and compassion for Larry in his last days. We also wish to thank Larry's dear friends Jim and Marlene for their tremendous assistance and love. At Larry's request, no funeral service will be held. A celebration of his life will be held at the Masonic Lodge Hall located at 19 Dawson Avenue, Stoney Creek from 3 p.m.- 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2011.
