Brian Romagnoli posted a condolence

Mrs. Goertzen, Sandy, Lori, Marlyn, and their families, I wanted to express my sincere condolences for the loss of your son and brother. Brian and I became friends in our youth, and shared many interests, especially music. A couple of weeks before his passing, I phoned Brian, and we had a long discussion about many things, ranging from his deteriorating state of health to spiritual matters. As he accepted the fact that his time may be short, I offered to say a prayer for him, and assured him that with God, there is life beyond, and in relative terms, we will all be called home sooner or later. I have much admiration for the way he courageously endured the cancer treatments, and graciously accepted his fate without ever uttering a regret or a complaint, except for being frustrated that he could no longer grasp his guitar and strum it. A mutual friend called him "a gentle soul". I am fortunate to have been able to call him "friend" and I will miss him very much. Brian Romagnoli

Dear Barb., I just heard about Brian, and wanted you and the girls to know that I was thinking about you and your loss. It is so hard to find comfort at times like this except rembering the good times and knowing that you have the love and compassion of your family and friends to comfort you. Love Alex.

My condolences to Brian’s family and friends. They say that you can tell a lot about the character of a person by how they act during adversity. In Brian’s battle with cancer you could see him becoming weak and frail due to the cancer and the chemotherapy yet Brian remained upbeat, kept his sense of humor and maintained an overall positive outlook. Brian was a gentleman. He will be missed.

Barb: So sorry to read about your recent loss. No doubt, you have many happy memories and lots of support from the girls and their families. I saw Marge up north last week. She is doing well but still mourning the death of her son Bill. Ed
