Obituary of Aaltje Janssen

Peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of Jan (John) of 58 years. Devoted mother of William and his wife Catharine, and James. Loving Oma of Amanda (Rodney), Tiffany, Daniel (Kristen), Samantha (George) and Great-Oma of Gabriel, Connor, Johanna, Olivia and Abigail. She will be missed by family in the Netherlands. Alice was a past volunteer with the Cancer Society and an active member of Wesley United Church (Fruitland, Ontario). Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wesley United Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
