Obituary of Dorothy Winifred Whittaker

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Whittaker on Friday, May 30, 2014 in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband Elmer. Loving mother of Barbara (the late William) Borre, Gary Whittaker (Doris), Joan (Earl) Newman, Dianne (William) Elliott and Rodger Whittaker (Susan). Cherished grandmother of Chris, Mary Kay, Kerry, Jamie, Bill, Matthew, Lisa, Lana and great-grandmother of Adam, Katie, Keegan, Gavin, Danika, Myelle and Henry. Predeceased by her siblings Marge, Marv, Gord, Bill and Con. Dorothy was a proud member of the CWL at St. John the Baptist and St. Francis Xavier Churches. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, on Monday from 4-8 p.m.Vigil prayers 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 10 a.m. with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
