Obituary of Joyce Miriam Willett

Peacefully at the Carpenter Hospice, Burlington, on Friday, May 30, 2014, in her 86th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, John Willett (2001) and her son John (2013). Loving mother to Barbara Lisac and her husband Paul and Sara May and her husband Kevin and daughter-in-law Sandra Willett. Cherished grandmother of Danny Lisac (Jen), Erin Sheehan (Mitch), Matthew Willett, Evan and Kara May, and G.G. to Charlie, Gabby and Ryan Lisac and Andie and Olivia Sheehan. Dear sister to Eunice, Deanna( Dave) and sister in law Helen. Predeceased by siblings Cliff, Joan and Bernice. Joyce will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and by her loving companion of 6 years, Robert Nelson. Joyce was a singer and soloist for most of her life, having performed with the Medallion Chorus, Centenary United Church and for 22 years as a soloist with the Geritol Follies. A Heartfelt thanks to the Staff of the Carpenter Hospice for their compassion and care, you are “Angels on Earth” Cremation has taken place. Joyce’s family will be honouring her with a Celebration of her Life at West Plains United Church, 549 Plains Rd. W., Burlington, on Wednesday, June 4 at 11 .am. Reception to follow.
