Obituary of Robin Boughan
Peacefully, in his 69th year Robin was called home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Loving husband of Sandy and devoted father to Heather (John) Benoit, Heidi (Jon) Wilton, and Peter (Jennifer) Boughan. Proud grandpa of Nathan, Erin and Naomi; Emily, Ian and Olivia; Leah, Miriam and Jesse, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Survived by mother Alma, and siblings Karl (Mary) Boughan, Alming (Phil) Steele, April (the late Roger) Roberts, Mark (Ruth) Boughan as well as brother-in-law David (Dorothy) Lewis. Special thanks to longtime friends Ken and Dawna Vyse for their love and treasured memories. Thanks also to the many doctors, nurses and caregivers who supported Robin throughout his difficult journey. He was a retired high school art teacher with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. Robin was a faithful member of Philpott Memorial Church and was involved for over 50 years with the music program. Robin’s love of creativity and design, sense of humor, and many other talents will be missed by all who knew him. Friends are invited to share in a memorial service to take place at Philpott Memorial Church on Tuesday, September 22nd at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Cremation has taken place. Private interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Philpott Memorial Church or World Vision Canada.
