Obituary of Elizabeth Fticar

Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Stefan Fticar (2013). Loving mother of Steven Branko Fticar and his wife Patricia. Cherished grandmother of Jeremy and Kara. Dear sister of the late Michael Farkas (Mary), Angela and Naci and sisters-in-law Mary Fylypiw (Branko) and Angela Fticar. Will also be missed by “Strina” Elizabeth Farkas, her cousin Toncka and Steve Horvat along with many nieces, nephews and other cousins. Special thanks to the staff at Regina Gardens and to Dr. Levine and the nursing staff of CTU West at St. Joseph’s Hospital for all the comfort they provided to our mother. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at the Funeral Home Thursday at 4:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory The Great Slovenian Roman Catholic Church, 125 Centennial Parkway North, on Friday, August 21 at 10 a.m. Interment Our Lady of The Angels Cemetery.
