Obituary of David R. Nicholls
The big truck has been parked for the last time.
Peacefully on July 21, 2015 at McNally House with family and dear friends by his side holding his hand, David could fight no more. Left to mourn, wife, soul mate and best friend Florence Duffy-Nicholls. He will always be loved and remembered by his sons Tavis, David (Meagan) and will be sadly missed by grandchildren Ben, Justin and Ava. Survived by siblings John (Barb), Sylvia, Janice, Penny and many nieces and nephews. Long time proud employee of the Paddock family – Earl Paddock Transportation and Packers Logistics. Will always be remembered by many trailer friends at Grand Oaks Park. I would like to thank our family and special friends who where by our side and there for us through this battle. What you have done will never be forgotten. To the staff and volunteers at McNally House, you made our final 5 week journey one of dignity, compassion, comfort and love and I will always be so thankful for that. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Binbrook United Church Cemetery.
