Obituary of Mary Allan Brewster

Mary passed away peacefully on July 18, 2015, at the Heritage Green Nursing Home, Stoney Creek, just 2 ½ months after her 100th birthday. Predeceased in 2007 by her husband Earl after 65 years of marriage. Loving mother of Joan Brewster of Dundas. Predeceased by brothers Peter, John, Joe, and Bill. Mary leaves many nieces and nephews, and a special niece, Lorna. Mary was born in Scotland and immigrated to Canada with her parents at age 5. She retained her love for that country and visited relatives there several times. Mary taught grade 1 in Hamilton before her marriage, and continued her love of young children throughout her life. At Mary’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place, and a private interment will take place. Contact Joan for further information.
