Mary was known to us as Auntie Mary as she was Mom's best friend. Although not related that was her title to us. I have many fond memories of Mary and Ron along with the kids. Camping was the best when we did it as a group. From the flooding in many parks to the ripping of lawn chairs from wear and tear. Mary was my go to person when my Mom was in the hospital as she could handle Del. I will miss the many outings that continued right up till the end. Dinner after the theatre was a tradition for the group. RIP Auntie Mary and say Hi to everyone for us. Colleen

Ron and family, I want to express my condolence des on the loss of Mary, a very gracious lady who I had the pleasure of knowing in so many different ways.....from Holy Family Church Camp in Winona, to teaching son Bill at St. Martin of Tours and as a faithful parishioner at St. Francis Xavier. Mary was a role model for many and her legacy will certainly live on through all the lives she touched. May God continue to bless all of you at this time of sadness.

To Ron and family Mary was a wonderful person and I enjoyed her friendship very much. She helped me a great deal throughout my struggles of my hearing loss. She was a very out spoken person fighting for better things for the hard of hearing and deaf people who had to cope through various difficulties with everyday living. She had a warm heart, she loved her family and friends. Mary was an angel throughout her life, she will be a very special angel up in Heaven as well. I am very sorry for your loss Ron, I know how much she meant to you. Bless you all. Sue Walczak xo

Dear Ron & Family: It is difficult to know where to start. Mary was a very special person. I had the pleasure of working closely with Mary when she was the Canadian HARD of HEARING Association (CHHA-Hamilton Branch) president. She was a friend and mentor. Mary continued her advocating of hearing loss and CHHA right up until the end. She explained to the various nurses and technicians she came in contact with, how important it was to speak clearly and directly to her (and others) with hearing loss. It didn't matter where she was, be it at the theatre, church or shopping . . . Mary was always the consummate advocate for CHHA. Mary was recently voted the Joan Miller Award of Merit which goes to a long standing CHHA-Hamilton member who has contributed outstanding service to the work of the association and the Hamilton Branch. Sadly, there was not an opportunity to present this award to her in person, but she was aware of it . . . and I believe very pleased and honoured to receive it. Mary was a great lady. Her friendship and words of wisdom will be missed. May she rest in peace.

Andrew and I wish to send our condolences to your family at this difficult time. Mary had brought warmth, hope and energy to my life. Her laughter will stay dearly in my heart. She never hesitated to offer help whenever she knew help is needed, whether it is to us friends, or to the community. That is the legacy Mary leaves with us. Mary, you will be missed in our thoughts and prayers, but your legacy will live on and shine forever !
