Obituary of Isobel Clara Shaw

It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of our mother Isobel (Issy), at the Clarion Nursing Home on Monday, April 27, 2015 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of Jack. Loving mother of Norma Wallace (Ed), Art (Oksana), Gary, Sandy Campanaro. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Chris, Cael, Leslie-Ann, A.J. (Daniel), Spencer, Steve, Dave, Myles, Ben and Alexandra. Predeceased by her son Brad, granddaughters Cassie and Olivia and son-in-law Frank. Will also be sadly missed by many other relatives. Isobel was born in Dingwall, Nova Scotia. Her first husband was lost in the war. She later met and married Jack, and they settled in Hamilton, Ontario. Issy was a long time receptionist for Viola’s Music Centre where she formed a number of relationships with students over the years. Later in life she became a strong support for her family. She was the rock of our family and was always there when we needed her. Although she will be eternally missed, we can find comfort that she is now in heaven playing 58 with her loved ones who previously passed. Special thanks to the compassionate staff at the Clarion Nursing Home. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Eugene’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
