Suddenly, at Quinte Healthcare Hospital on Monday, April 21, 2014. Thelma Smith of RR#1 Demorestville, Ontario, formerly of Hamilton, Ontario, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Percival Leslie Smith. Loved mother of David and Lynne Smith of Burlington, Ontario, Carol A. Smith of Brantford, Ontario, Andy and Barb Smith of Demorestville, Ontario. Predeceased by sons Thomas E. Smith and Daniel Lee Smith. Sister of Doris Whitman of Halifax, Nova Scotia and the late Gerald Whitman. Predeceased by her sister Donna Daw and Ross Daw of Hamilton, Ontario, Jackie and Jake Vanelswyk of Hamilton, Ontario and Linda and Randy Worden of Hamilton, Ontario. Proud grandma of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Fifty Cemetery.
