Obituary of Irene Mae Cook

COOK, Irene Mae (nee Haskett) Irene entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour, at her residence in Stoney Creek, on Thursday, June 2, 2011, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Cook. Loving mother of Judy and the late Dwight Hennings and Robert and his wife Ann Cook. Dear grandmother of Alison Hennings, Cameron and his wife Julie Hennings and Heather Cook. Predeceased by 4 brothers and 1 sister. Also lovingly remembered by her lifelong friends along with many nieces and nephews. Irene was a Member of Cheyne Presbyterian Church. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Cheyne Presbyterian Church, (King St. at First St., Stoney Creek), on Tuesday, June 7th at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
