Obituary of Franc Pelcar

Peacefully, on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Hamilton General Hospital in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Paula for 61 years. Loving father of Stanley, Josie Dubé and her husband Daniel. Cherished grandfather of Christopher Dubé, Nicole and her husband Dave Chipman and Monique Dubé. Franc will be missed by his family in Slovenia and his many friends locally. Franc was a retiree of Stelco, a long time member of St. Joseph Society and BLED. A quiet man with a big heart who was a great contributor to the Slovenian community. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory The Great Slovenian Church on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Society would be greatly appreciated.
