Obituary of Ethel "Jan" Collins

COLLINS, Ethel "Jan" (nee Fairhurst) As was her wish, Jan passed away at home with the help of her family and friends, on Wednesday, March 5, 2008. Sadly, she will be missed by her guardian angels Misty and Maddie, cousin and caregiver Darlene Harris of Burlington, Madeline and Robert Van Roy and their family of Belgium, and of her friends who together were with her every step of the way. Predeceased by her loving mother Ethel Fairhurst (October 2000), her father Cyril (Sid) Fairhurst (October 1990). Jan is survived by her aunt Hilda Fairhurst, siblings David Fairhurst and Linda Hinchcliffe and their families, respectively. Like her mother, Jan was a life member of the Historic Chapter # 194 O.E.S. Cremation has taken place. Jan's journey ends with a graveside service to be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME 905-662-2948
