Obituary of Verna Cole

COLE, Verna (nee Watt) Suddenly at the Henderson Hospital, on Tuesday, December 30, 2008, of Vinemount, at the age of 73 years. Beloved wife for 53 years of the late Harvey Cole. Beloved mother of Ken and his wife Janice, Linda Cook and her husband Jim, Wendy Bentley and her husband Howie. Verna will be lovingly remembered by her ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her mom and dad Evelyn and Robert Watt and by her sister Jean Murphy. Verna was a very active member of Tapleytown United Church where she served as Clerk of Session for many years. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Tapleytown United Church, 413 Mud St. on Monday, January 5 at 11 a.m. Interment Tapleytown Cemetery. Special thanks to the nurses at Henderson Hospital and the staff at Heritage Green Retirement Lodge for their compassionate care.
