Obituary of Radojka Zdero

After a courageous battle, peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, Radojka Zdero in her 73rd year. Loving wife of Vlado Zdero. Beloved mother of Petar and his wife Michelle. Dear cousin of Marko (Milica) Colic. Predeceased by her father Savo, mother Gora, sister Nevenka and brother Petar. Survived by her sister Ljuba. She will be greatly missed by family across the world, including Chicago, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany and Australia. Radojka was a retired employee of the HWDSB and a long time member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, Nash Rd. The family would like to thank both the Cucuz and Mijatovic families for their love and support during the past few difficult years, as well as the Palliative Care team and nurses of 3East at St. Peter’s for their exceptional care and compassion. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Pomen 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. with The Very Reverend Father Milojko Dimitric officating. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Cancer Society or St. Peter’s Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
