Dearest Lynda and Family, It was only this afternoon (Saturday) that we became aware that "Rick" passed away on March 11th. Not knowing this we did not attend his visitation on Friday and his mass today and we are truly sorry that we could not pay our respects and express our condolences to you. We are extremely saddened to hear of his death. His parents, my parents (Rybacki's) and the Janke family were very close when we were little. So many memories and now 5 of the 6 parents are no longer here but in heaven. Rick was such a good person and friend when I knew him then. Unfortunately our families never met or spent time together, but I see from the beautifully written condolences that he was a wonder friend, husband, father, grandfather and human being. We know that he will be sorely missed by you, Mark & Donna and their spouses and your grandchildren and your many friends and family. Please accept our deepest sympathy on your loss. Rick and all of you are in our prayers. We know that his parents were there waiting for him at heaven's gate to welcome him with love. May the Almighty Father and his Son, Jesus, bless you all and help you during this most sad and painful time.

Deepest sympathy on the loss of you husband and father. I remember Richard as a quiet, unassuming but devoted soccer Dad. He was always there on the sidelines at Donna's games. Lynda would yell and he was just there. I have a particular picture in my mind of a tournament, Amherst NY, I think. It was bitterly cold for a May weekend and everyone on the sidelines was trying to stay warm. Along came Richard, a sweatshirt over his head, arms tied under his chin, looking like an old european grandmother wearing a babushka. It worked and he was happier and warmer. Simple pleasures. May memories of happy times sustain you in your sorrow.

I remember being six years old and Richard giving me a teddy bear for Christmas. I still have that bear. His name is Mishu and he was always special because I loved that I got him from Richard. I have so many fond memories the top one being when I stayed with lynda and Richard at their house for the summer and drove the kids to skating everyday. Richard often saying very little but just sitting with an adoring smile as lynda told stories about their life. I love them both so much and am honoured to know such a wonderful couple.

When I think of Richard Debicki, I think " What a Kind and Generous Man " . Whether Lynda was cooking for me following my Surgeries, or Cooking for Our Entire Choir at their Pool Party, Richard was so generous as to never say anything about what must have amounted to an Enormous Food Bill. Paul was Grateful for their Generous Supply of Food when I was not well enough to Cook. Which was often. I can still see his little Half-Smile as he observed Lynda, Marion & I playing "Ping Pong Jo Ann " in the Pool on a Hot Summer Day . Lynda, Mark, Amber, Wilson, Clark, Donna, Daniel, & Evalyn Your Husband, Father and Grandfather will surely be missed by all who knew Him.
