Obituary of Susan Gladys Blakelock

BLAKELOCK, Gladys Susan (nee Hodgson) Peacefully, at Emmanuel House Hospice, on Friday, August 12, 2011 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Nick Hoffman and the late Bertie Blakelock. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Colleen Shaw (Bob), Rick Hoffman, Barbara Revill (Norman) and Allyson Winters (Mike). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren April Shaw, Jennifer Mueller (Josh), Matthew Shaw (Sandra) and proud great-grandmother of Nicholas Shaw, Emily Shaw and Andrew Mueller. Dear sister of Agnes Brooks and David Hodgson and greatly missed by niece Cyndi McConkey. Predeceased by siblings Cora Hodgson and Fred Hodgson. Special thanks to Emmanuel House and Kingsberry Place for their care and compassion. Gladys was active in her life, always helping friends and family, never complaining and always there for us. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Bethany Gospel Chapel, 155 Gage Ave. N., Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Emmanuel House, 90 Stinson St., Hamilton, ON, L8N 1S2 would be greatly appreciated by the family.
