My sincerest sympathy to the Keus family. I worked with Ron many, many years ago when he was an usher at the Odeon Theatre. I was shocked to learn of his passing today and I am sorry I could not pay my respects in person. Although I have not seen Ron in more than 25 years, I am not surprised to learn of the man he became. I remember Ron as being witty, polite, a little stubborn and always a gentleman.....he made sure his co-workers got to their cars safely every night and had everyone else's concerns before his own. Ron always spoke highly of his family....a loving husband and father, son, brother and dedicated, respected co-worker and friend is everything I would have expected. God bless.

Farewell Ron Farewell.. Had the pleasure of being on your Team for soo many years & fondly remembering the 2006 World Cup Team Incentive, when you wore your bright orange Netherlands Soccer Shirt.. My team was Germany & we hotly contested the standings, the games played & who would win etc....sadly, neither one of our Teams won -but, I still have my wrist band from that Incentive-Orange in colour - showing 2006 Germany. Words cannot truly express this tragic loss. I was truly blessed to have had the opportunity to work with Ron , such an intelligent, witty and oh so stubborn man. We shared many good times and some very challenging ones, but in the end Ron was "always right". He was passionate about many things, and a very proud man, especially about his boys and family. Jacon, Nicholas and Daniel, your dad could never say enough about you all. He was so proud of you three and his love for you was large then life. I cannot even imagine the sense of loss I am feeling today and am actually writing a condolence message for him . I had the pleasure of working with Ron . He was my first Manager and bought me to the realities of recognizing my strengths and weaknesses. Ron was a friend , mentor and my lunch buddy . You got me where I am today Ron . Numerous times we would argue as to whose turn it was to pay for lunch, or he would laugh at me when I said 'Wehicle'. The joke still lives on today . His sense of humor , facial expressions and smart comments will never be forgotten. He always wanted the best - and always managed to get it too . Don't know how ? I had the pleasure of working with Ron for many years. I soon realized after meeting Ron when he was an agent that Ron was going to always be right even it if was only in his own mind. No words can truly express the sorrow we feel. We have known and worked with Ron for 14 years. He became a great friend. Someone that you could trust completely. We have shared many fun times together; vacation in Florida, "hiding" Stella glasses in the luggage, watching Ron drink his coffee not realizing someone had put their gum in it, running away from hair balls and video taping the wing eating contest.....the list is endless and we are so grateful to have these memories. With Ron, you were almost guaranteed at some point to have a disagreement. He was never wrong....so he thought. But the best were the conversations after; how genuine and serious he was about keeping the friendship. Engraved in our minds are his precious facial expressions and the love for his boys. Everything he did, he did for the four of you. His love for his family was undeniable and we hope that you can find the strength to get you through this very difficult time in your lives. I'm writing these words with a very heavy heart and dried up tear ducts. Ron and I worked together at Desjardins for over 10 years and in those years we became not only close colleagues but true friends. We shared countless hours chatting about video games, bad reality TV, our mutual love of Jordan, etc. We seemed to have so many things in common but it wasn't until I had my own children that I truly understood Ron's biggest passion, his family. He was so proud of "his boys" and would do anything for them. Ron, just like myself, kept his childhood alive through his children. Seeing the joy in Ron's face when searching through all the toy Cars at Walmart at Christmas because he found a "rare" one that "the Boys" needed to complete the collection or hearing him talk about ordering the latest Netherlands Jersey for them though I'm SURE he just bought one recently, Ron's face just lit up knowing his boys would be happy. Ron was one of the smartest, wittiest and most stubborn guy I knew. He was never wrong, just ask him. Well Ron...you were wrong about one thing. The amount of people that I've talked to in the last couple of days and the amount of people I've seen around the office with welled up eyes shows me that you touched more hearts that you thought, and you will be missed like you'd never believe.
