Obituary of Claude Marc Lortie

Passed away peacefully, in his 79th year, with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer, on March 8, 2014 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Beloved husband to Madeleine (nee Paiement) for 57 years. Proud father to Claude (Guy) Leblanc, Lynne (Michael) Sturk, Gina Veliky, and Danny (Joni). Loving grandfather to Roxanne, Nathalie, Stephan, the late Justin (2007), Nicholas, Randy, Brandon, and Brydan. Cherished great-grandfather to Michael. The family would like to thank Dr. Goffin and his team at the Juravinski Hospital for their excellent care and compassion towards Claude, as well as the staff at St. Peter’s hospital. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. Prayers Monday at 8:15 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Église Notre-Dame du Perpétuel-Secours, 243 Cumberland Avenue, Hamilton, on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. Cremation to follow.
