Obituary of Gerald (Jerry) Aiken

AIKEN, Gerald (Jerry) Passed away peacefully at his home in Stoney Creek on Saturday, October 2, 2010 in his 78th year. Dearly loved husband of Rosemary. Loving father of Peter and his wife Cindy of Grimsby and David of Stoney Creek. Cherished Grandpa of Cole and Drew. Brother-in-law of Robert and Kim Warren and Peter Triddon all of England. Close family friend of Joan Marshall. Jerry was a retired employee of Stelco after 46 years of service. Special thanks to family and friends for their encouragement and support, especially to Eunice McMillan for always being there, to Reverend Steve Lindsay of Cheyne Presbyterian Church where Jerry had been a faithful member for 52 years and to the staff of CCAC and ProRest. Thanks also to Dr. Cox at the Firestone Clinic for his kindness and compassion. There will be no Funeral Home visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be held at Cheyne Presbyterian Church, Stoney Creek on Thursday, October 7 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cheyne Presbyterian Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
