CHAPMAN, Henry D. (Harry) (Col.) At St. Joseph's Hospital on Sunday, December 21, 2008 of Hamilton, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Joan Crosthwaite Chapman. Predeceased by his wife Marguerita Sloan. Dear father of David and his wife Agnes of Hamilton, Kathryn and her husband Norm McLean of Grimsby, Beverly and her husband Robert Chin of Silver Spring, Maryland, Barbara and her husband Ron Harrison of Silver Spring, Maryland. Lovingly remembered by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother-in-law of Shirley Chapman of Brockville. Predeceased by his brother James (Jim). Harry was the owner of Kidner Printing Company, Board member of the Canadian Graphic Arts Association, member and board member of the Hamilton YMCA, Chairman of Camp Wanakita, B C 102 (w) Field Battery RCA, Dundas, C O 8th Field Regiment RCA Hamilton, Commander of the Hamilton Militia District and member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #36, Dundas. Special thanks to Dr. Martha Davidson and the nurses at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital and also the nurses of St. Joseph's Hospital Nephrology for their compassion and care. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 from 11 a.m. until the start of the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
