Obituary of Gordon Carpenter

CARPENTER, Gordon Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Kilean Lodge on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of the late Stella (2002). Loving father of Rachel (Don), Linda (Les), Nettie (Ron) and Raymond. Loving grandpa to many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Dear brother of Russel (Nina), Harvey (Diane), Douglas (Loretta) and Joan (Leen) Zonneveld. Predeceased by his brothers Ross (2004) and Lennard (1951) and his niece Laurie (2008). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Gordon was a member of Trinity United Church, Grimsby and a retired employee of E.D. Smith with over 40 years of service. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Interment to take place at Queen's Lawn Cemetery on Monday 11 a.m. In Gordon's memory, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
