Obituary of Beverley Caithness Mallory

MALLORY (nee McCutcheon),Beverley Caithness At age 73, on April 16, 2010. Pre-deceased by husband Ross in 2001. Mother of five and Granny to nine. Will be missed by Ann of Dublin, Ohio (Dave, Duncan); George of Burlington (Bonnie, Ben, Camryn); Joe of Bridgenorth (Joanne, Keira, Teigan, Spencer, Fraser); Keith of Sudbury (Joel, Marc); Louise of Edmonton (Peggy, Jamie, Martha). Predeceased by brother Elgin, father Samuel Gordon, and daughter-in-law Carole of Sudbury. Survived by mother Elizabeth McCutcheon of Stoney Creek. Bev was born in Fort William, lived in Stoney Creek and spent summers on Miller Island, Lake Muskoka. She was a 1957 graduate of Victoria College, U of T, a retired teacher with the Hamilton Board of Education, a member of Burlington Baptist Church and Lakeside Church in Walker’s Point. She was a dedicated hockey organizer and an advocate for girls’ and women’s hockey. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Burlington Baptist Church at 2225 New Street, Burlington Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Sincere thanks to Dr. Bev Hattersley and the entire 3-East staff of St. Peter’s Hospital. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
