Obituary of Rosa Campanaro

CAMPANARO, Rosa (nee Lucchiari) We announce Rosa’s passing at her home with her family by her side on Saturday, July 18, 2009, after a long illness. Beloved wife of Marco for 52 years. The two came to Canada from Italy to start their new lives together and watching their family grow. Loving mother of George (Kathy), Linda (Brian), Luigi (Pamela). Dear grandmother of Michael (Melanie), Daniel, Joshua, Aaron, Estelle, Amanda, Sierra and Charlize and great-grandmother of Aidan and Julian. Rosa was also loved by parents, brothers and sisters all in Italy and France. Also survived by her in-laws in Canada and many nieces and nephews to remember her smile and happiness. The family would like to give special thanks to Irene and the Staff of 4E at the Henderson Hospital as well as the Staff of the Clarion Nursing Home. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Vigil prayers Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 22 at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church (Highway # 8 and Greens Rd., Stoney Creek) at 10 a.m. Entombment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to McMaster Children’s’ Hospital-Mental Illness Ward would be appreciated by the family.
