Obituary of George Calligan

CALLIGAN, George Peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Saturday, September 1, 2012, in his 90th year. Predeceased by his wife Eileen, his daughter Pamela, and a grandson Ted. Loved father of Norman (Deb), Diana (Rick Russo). Loved grandfather of Jason (Rebecca), Sarah (Oren), Sunny (Craig), Christopher and great grandfather of Emelia and Lachlan. Dear brother of Rob (Rose), Dolores (Gary Hamilton). Predecesed by a sister Mae. George was a retired veteran of WW II, a volunteer fire fighter and town councillor in Dunchurch, Ontario. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
