Obituary of Charles Alan Cairns

CAIRNS, Charles Alan (Al) We are deeply saddened by the passing of Al Cairns on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Hamilton General Hospital in his 74th year. Beloved husband of the late Suzanne Cairns. Devoted father of Steve and his wife Elizabeth, Craig and his wife Amanda and Terry and his wife Rebecca. Cherished grandfather of Katie, Danielle and Robyn. Dear brother-in-law of Jane McCarthy and Jim and Janice Ramsden Dear brother of Gordon Cairns. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Hamilton General Hospital for the care they provided to Al during his recent hospitalizations. Alan was a retired Firefighter for the Burlington Fire Dept. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family interment will take place at Grove Cemetery in Dundas.
