BUTENKO, Ahorpina (Hrynia) (nee Litkevich) Peacefully at Henderson General Hospital on Sunday, December 16, 2007, at the age of 88. Hrynia went to be with the Lord. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Olexij (2000) whom she was married to for 60 years. Will live forever in the hearts of her children Donna Rizun (predeceased by Marshall), Nick (Marion), Susan Simpson (John), Linda Morris (Gary). Cherished Baba of her grandchildren Kimberley (Peter), Kristine (Bryan), Rodney, Nick Jr. (Stacy), Tania (Dave), Jennifer (Frank), Sylvia (Attilio), Justin and Kyle. Adored by her great-grandchildren Sara, Michael, Andrew, David, Lilly Belle, Natasha, Hannah, and Olivia. Also sadly missed by life long friend Maria Sydiuk, relatives in the Ukraine and family friends. Special thanks to the emergency medical staff at the Henderson Hospital for their attentive care. The family will receive friends at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Panachyda Wednesday at 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, December 20th at 11 a.m. Interment Mountview Gardens. In Hrynia's memory, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
