Obituary of Annie Fern Green

Surrounded by her family, Fern passed away peacefully at Macassa Lodge, on Sunday, December 29, 2013 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Arnold James (2000). Dearly loved mother of Doug and Judy Green, Marlene Archer, and Lynn and Ken Williams. Dearest grandmother of Cam (Patty) Green, Laurel (Dwayne) Oakes, Chris (Michelle) Archer, Mark (Laura) Williams, Brad Williams and Jennifer (Paul) Hamill. Also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Predeceased by 2 great-grandchildren. Beloved sister of Ruby Gibson and Garnet (Audrey) Richmond. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Eldon Jacobs and sisters Irene Fleming and Rhea Ostrosser. Fern was a lifetime member of Stoney Creek United Church and a 60 year member of the Historic Chapter O.E.S., Stoney Creek. Family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Private interment will take place at Stoney Creek Cemetery at a later date.
