Obituary of Bernice Broughton

BROUGHTON, Bernice (Dedrick) Entered into rest on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the Henderson Hospital, Hamilton. Bernice Ethel Broughton of Stoney Creek, in her 80th year. Beloved husband of Marv. Predeceased by husband William Dedrick, sons William Jr. and Roger, and grandsons Michael and Bradley. Loving mother of Wayne and Connie Dedrick, Jeannette Dedrick and George Lyon, Judith Collins (Fred), Joy and George Steadman, Janice and Danny Levesque and Duncan Dedrick. Stepmother of Doug and Gaye Broughton. Cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother David Dolson (Ann), sisters Florence Jacob (Tony) and Grace Shaw (Herb). Bernice was an active member of Stoney Creek Legion Branch 622 for many years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow.
