Obituary of Herb York

YORK, Herb Passed away, after a long battle with cancer, at Juravinski Hospital on Sunday, September 4, 2011 in his 69th year. Devoted husband of Shirley for 46 years. Loving father of Jim (Katherine) and Cathy. Dear grandfather of Kayla, Shirley, Carley and step-grandson Pierce. Will be missed by his sister-in-law Margaret and her husband Jim Brewer and brother-in-law Ed. Herb had a love for trains and enjoyed being a part of RHLI. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. He will be sadly missed.
