Obituary of John (Jack) Arthur Brenzil

BRENZIL, John Arthur (Jack) After enjoying a long life and the love and joy of his family, Jack Brenzil passed away at his home on Saturday, October 20, 2012 in his 86th year. Beloved husband and soul mate of 64 years of Jessie (Mitchell). Dear father of Lyle (Brenda), Linda Small (Keith), Bob (Diane), David (Ellen) and Rick (Mary). Adored grandfather of Paula Shewfelt (Kevin), John (Karen), Kailey, Ryan Small (Rachel), Marc (Nimmi), Nicole Vansickle (Matt), Adam, Gregory, Jay, Derek and 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Cora Brenzil, son Brian, grandsons Jeffrey Small and Justin Brenzil and daughter-in-law Beverly. Dear brother of Larry (Jackie) and brother-in-law of Norma Gibson (Don), Ruth Mitchell, Donna Mitchell, Marg and Keith Edwards, Paul Mitchell (Betty). Predeceased by siblings Helen Poplar (Ted), Albert (Pat), Allan (Diane) and in-laws Marie and Kirk Mitchell, Doug Mitchell, Arnold and Donna Edwards and Roger Mitchell. Jack was a Scout leader of 1st York Scouts, trustee of Seneca and Haldimand Board of Education, past president and life member of Caledonia Lions Club, 50 year Free Mason and past master of Enniskillen Lodge #185. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Rameses Shriners, charter president of Canadian Farm Builders Association and co-founder of Braemar Building Systems Ltd. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Masonic Service 6 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Sinclairville United Church on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Sinclairville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sinclairville United Church Memorial Fund or the charity of your choice, would be appreciated by the family.
