Obituary of Helen Wirth

WIRTH, Helen (nee Edwards) Peacefully on August 30, 2013 at the Juravinski Hospital after a brief illness in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband Richard (2000). Loving mother of Joseph (Maureen), Kathryn Webb (John) and Richard (Mimi). Cherished G’Ma of Lauren Linton (Justin), Aaron Bamford (Janice), Brian, Brent and David Wirth. Proud GG’Ma of Julian and Owen Bamford. Dear sister of Catherine Mackan (Jim) of Sault Ste. Marie. Predeceased by her brother Frank Edwards (Muriel) and sister Patricia Hohn (Herbert). Helen was instrumental in forming the CWL Choir at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, a founding board member of the Glanbrook Home Support Program and an enthusiastic member of the Binbrook Women’s Institute. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church,63 Hwy 20 E, Stoney Creek, ON L8J 2W9 on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at later date.
