WILSON, Robert Gerald (Bob) (January 24, 1924 – May 23, 2009) "Together again" Now reunited with the love of his life Anne (November 19, 2007) who he missed till the end of his time. Passed away at W.L.M.H in his 86th year. Cherished Dad to Bob, Gary (Mary), Joanne Rushton (Glenn). Loving grandfather to six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Predeceased by one grandson. Will be sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, cousins, neighbours, friends, especially his “hunting buddies” and anyone else who had the pleasure of knowing this fun-loving guy. His overwhelming sense of humour will never be forgotten along with those unforgettable barbeques. He’s the only one you’ll know ever know that had a mat at the door that said “Go Away”. He enjoyed painting and carving. His paintings and carvings our in the homes of several of his friends and family. He also rode his Harley Davidson till he was 82 years of age. Dad was a WWII, Royal Canadian Veteran. He spent 37 years of his life at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company and still continued doing odd jobs for the next few years. Dad was loved by everyone he came in contact with. We will miss him till we all meet again. We three children are proud to call him “OUR DAD”. Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. He was not one for tears Reflect instead on memories Of all the happy years. The smiles he brought The way he joked And all the things he said His strength, his courage And the way he lived Remember them instead.
