Obituary of Mary Kathleen Brandow

BRANDOW, Mary Kathleen (Kay) Passed away on Monday, April 20, 2009, at St. Peter's Hospital, in her 86th year. Predeceased by her husband George, July 5, 1986. Dear mother of Sandra Phillips (husband Tom) of Grimsby and Shirley Childs (husband Glen) of Capreol. Dear sister of Alfred Keddy (wife Linda), of Stoney Creek. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Thomas George Hopkins (wife Robin), Shirley-Ann Hopkins, Jamie Dawn Smith (husband Stephen) and Jason Glen Childs. Always remembered as their "Grama K" by 6 great-grandchildren Ashton Mackenzie, Avery Brooke, Jaiden Caileigh, Mark Owen, Ethan Marshall Smith and Ethan Thomas Hopkins. Missed by best friend and sister-in-law Lillian Keddy. Remembered by sisters-in-law Millicent Brandow, Kay Keddy, and Bea Keddy and many nieces and nephews. Dear daughter of the late Catherine and Alfred Keddy Sr.; sister of the late Carl, Charles, Douglas Keddy, Helen Cooper; sister-in-law of the late Claire, Thelma, Lorna, Francis and Bill Brandow all pre- deceased. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at St. Peter's Hospital 3 East. The family will receive friends at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 1 p.m. Interment Mountview Gardens.
