Obituary of John (Jack) Thomas Walton

WALTON, John Thomas (Jack) With grace and dignity, at McNally House on Monday, March 29, 2010 in his 68th year. Jack was the beloved and loving husband of Sue for 44 years, adored father of Rick and Hea Sook Jung, Jennie and Mat McCarron and Sarah Walton and cherished grandfather of Max McCarron and Sukie Walton-Takao. He was loved and held dear by his brothers and sisters Jim and Karen Walton, Beth and Bob Goodwin, Michael Walton and Christine Walton and was a brother-in-law of Ted Read and Senka Dukovich, Ron and Rosiane Read and John Read and Natalie Baird. Predeceased by parents Reginald (2009) and Doris (2008) Walton. He will be sadly missed by Masami Takao and will be lovingly remembered by his aunts Gladys Hazzard and Margaret Dowell, his cousins, nieces and nephews. Jack enjoyed his experiences working with many people in the steel industry. The loving support given in so many different ways by our family, dear friends and health care professionals has been a gift within this journey. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Stoney Creek United Church (King St. W. and Lake Ave. S.) on Thursday, April 1 at 11:30 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation or McNally House would be appreciated by the family. His strength and kindness will remain with us always.
