to Peter, Joanne, Robyn and Cayden,
Aunt Jess was the last of the era. I will never forget the family dinners, celebrations at Christmas and New Years as well as the showers for babies and weddings of which Grandma Archer, Sid the "sisters" hosted and attended. I remember staying at Lake Ave. as a kid and the time at the cottage with Jess and Pete, just because I asked to go.
She was the glue that held the Archers together which was no mean feat, and cared for Mom, Sid and Marg when they couldn't/wouldn't throughout many years.
Aunt Jess was a talented decorator and renovator before it was popular and the ultimate fashionista. Her pinapple roll still is a receipe to cherish.
She was a strong and capable independent working woman that inspired me to emulate her.
I will hold her memory forever in my heart.
