Obituary of Tiede Vellenga

VELLENGA, Tiede Tiede was born June 17, 1921 and entered into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on August 8, 2011, at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Grimsby. Predeceased by his wife Anke (2007), grandson Theodore (2007) and brother John (2008). Loved father of Jayne and her husband Bob Hamersma, Paula and her husband Case DeHaan, Peter and his wife Hennie Vellenga, Hette Vellenga and Sharon and her husband Roger Fielstra. Dear grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Brother to Anne Spoelstra, Piet and Sylvia Vellenga, Clara and Elko Brouwer and brother in law to Ann Vellenga. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. A private interment will take place at Mount Hamilton Cemetery, on Wednesday, August 10, followed by a Memorial Service which all are invited to attend, at Immanuel Orthodox Reformed Church, 2900 4th Ave., Vineland (905-562-8221) at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Redeemer University College, 777 Garner Road East, Ancaster, ON L9K 1J4, would be appreciated by the family.
