Obituary of Stevanija Trkulja

TRKULJA, Stevanija With great sorrow we announce the passing of Stevanija Trkulja, at Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, August 7, 2009, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Jovo Trkulja. Loving mother of Stevo Ivetic and his wife Dushanka, late son Jovo Ivetic and his wife Dara, daughter Smiljana Trkulja and her husband Nikola, and daughter Milka Culic and her husband Spiro. Cherished Baba to seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family, kumovi and friends, here and abroad. Stevanija was born April 4, 1915 in Selo Barosi, Bos, Grahovo. Baba's warm smile, heartfelt embraces, sense of humour, and love for children will always be remembered by all who knew her. Visitation will be held at DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Sunday, August 9th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Pomen at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, 1415 Barton Street, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10th with Reverend Vojislav Pavlovic officiating. Interment at Woodland Cemetery following funeral service. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church as an expression of sympathy.
