Obituary of Djuro Trifunovic

TRIFUNOVIC, Djuro Born in Ridjane, Dalmacija, Yugoslavia on May 6, 1925. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Djuro on December 8, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Djuro will be greatly missed by his loving wife Ilinka for over 55 years. Djuro is predeceased by his parents Filip and Djurdjija and his brothers and sisters Marija (Nikola) Tutus, Ilinka (Djuro) Vitas, Vaso (Maria), Stana (Stevan) Zmiko, Milica (Stevo) Duknic, Milos (Ilinka) and Dusan (Sava). He will be sadly missed by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws and grand-nephews and grand-nieces in Canada, England and Serbia, also by much loved Kumovi in Hamilton, Windsor and USA. He was a founding member of the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral (Nash Road) and the Serbian Cetniks Ravna Gora Centre (Winona). Special thanks to family Dr. Bibic and Dr. Leber and caring and dedicated staff at the Juravinski Hospital. Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Pomen at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral (149 Nash Rd. S.) on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. The Very Reverend Father Djuro Samac officiating. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
