Obituary of Rade Trbovic

TRBOVIC, Rade Passed away peacefully on January 14, 2010 at St Joseph's Hospital in his 78th year after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Beloved son of Dusan (Daniel). Dear brother to Zivka Rikic. Predeceased by sister Naca and brothers Dujo and Nikica, all of Gomirije. Survived by his Aunt Mara Trbovic, cousin Milka Narancic, nephew Radovan Rikic, niece Maria Rikic-McCarthy and their families. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Hamilton and Gomirije. Rade was a retiree (1992) of Dofasco's coke ovens with 23 years of service. Resting at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Sunday, January 17, 2010 between 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with Pomen at 8:00 p.m. Funeral service at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 2:15 p.m with interment at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Rade's favourite charity, The Salvation Army, would be appreciated as a fitting remembrance of his life.
