Obituary of Donald Trathen

TRATHEN, Donald Passed away peacefully, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice on Thursday, September 16, 2010 in his 68th year. Devoted husband and best friend of Nancy for 38 years. Loving father of Laura and Deborah (Bradley Daw). Adoring grandfather of Jaxon. Dear brother of John (Connie). Will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Dorothy, Betty, Judy and by his nieces, nephew and friends. Special thanks for the care and compassion given to Don at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek (Due to road construction please take Second St. North from King St. and turn right on Charles St.) on Monday, September 20, 1010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At Don’s request, there will be no Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, Juravinski Cancer Centre or Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
