Obituary of Lily Tinson

TINSON, Lily It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our cherished mom, grandma, great-grandma and sister on January 22, 2009. After a valiant battle with cancer, in her 83rd year, Lily passed away with her family at her side. Beloved wife of the late Arthur (1991). Adored mom of Norm (Wendy), Sharon (Bob Grosvenor), Glen (Cheryl), Jan (Gord Pettit). Finally happily reunited with her son Art. Cherished grandma of Mike, Shaun, Tammy, Lisa, Josh, Jeff, Keith, Art Jr., Heather, Brent, Jenna, Jay and Kayley. Great-grandma of eleven great-grandchildren. Beloved sister of Bernie and his wife Dinah. Predeceased by brothers Bob, Bernie, Bill, John and sisters Violet and Marg. Sister-in-law of Bess, Noreen, Betty and Norm. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Loving best friend of Marie. Her selfless, caring and loving nature will be missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Ave. Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held in the chapel, Monday, January 26th at 11:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
