Obituary of June Beverley Thompson

Thompson, June Beverley (Smith) At Hamilton General Hospital August 5, 2010 in her 86th year. Predeceased by her husband Maxwell William and survived by sisters Helen Zoellner and Elaine Shewchuk. She is survived also by her four children Craig (Kim), Jane Bennett (Paul), Derrick and Drew; five grandchildren Kathryn Toth (Pieter), Patrick Bennett (Amy), Kristin Thomas (Matthew), Hayley Thompson, Preston Thompson and one great-grandchild Sophie Bennett. June had lived the last few years in Grimsby with most of her life in Winona and later in Stoney Creek. June volunteered time to many societies and charities and various local historical projects. She spent many years involved in teaching of the illiterate and later teaching English to those new to this country. At June's request she will be cremated and no service will be held.
