Obituary of Harley Switzer

SWITZER, Harley Peacefully at Ridgeview Long Term Care Centre, on Thursday, March 10, 2011, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Joan. Loving father of Bob and Cheryl, Milly Coulthart, Bill and Diane, Richard and Joyce Frith and David and Bonnie. Dear grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Barclay and Bessie and brothers Arthur, Craig and Donald. Will also be missed by his sisters-in-law June Switzer and Evelyn Jerome along with many nieces and nephews. Harley was a life long member of Binbrook United Church, where he served in many ways. Special thanks to the Staff of the Nash Jackson House at Ridgeview Long Term Care Centre for their care and compassion for Harley during his time there. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Binbrook United Church on Monday, March 14th at 11:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Binbrook United Church, the Hamilton Burlington S.P.C.A. or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
