This is a poem that Ike's daughter Kimberley wrote.
The hardest part of any friendship
Is when it's tme to say good-bye.
To Clayton from Ike...
We've known lots of pleasure,
And at times endured some pain.
We've lived our life in the sunshine
And walked together in the rain.
We used to talk for hours
Remembering those years of our youth.
Our travels south of the border
Were filled with laughter and a brew or two.
I know somewhere in my dreams tonight
I'll see you standing there
You'll look at me with that impish smile
And I'll know you're happy there.
We were bound together as cousins,
We were joined at the hip as best of friends,
Although it seems we're separated
And for a time, we are apart.
I'm not alone my dear friend Louie,
You are always in my heart.
Clayton St. Louis we are honoured to have had you in our lives...The families of Ike and Marion McGowan.

Rev. James K. & Marjorie Stewart:
To a man who was affectionately know as "Louie" I smile in fond remembrance of a the one who influenced so many people in his life. I remember his smile, his laugh, and his walk when he was excited. But most of all I remember how he loved his family. From an old diver, who is now old indeed, thank you Louie for all you did for, and meant to, so many people. Love ya. James K.
