Obituary of John (Johnny) Soos

SOOS, John (Johnny) Peacefully, with his family by his side, at Henderson General Hospital on Saturday, August 15, 2009 in his 79th year. He will be greatly missed by his wife Sylvia of 52 years. Much loved father of Cindy and John. Dear father-in-law of Rob Kaczor and Tammy Soos. Special grandpa of Trina, David, Spencer and Aaron. Predeceased by his parents, brothers George, Andy, Mike and sister Julie all of Hungary. John immigrated to Canada at the age of 18 and was an employee of Stelco for over 39 years while also operating a fruit farm for many years. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held. Interment Tapleytown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Rest in peace until we meet again. We love you very much.
