Obituary of Kenneth George Sohm

SOHM, Kenneth George Dec 17, 1939 – July 3, 2011 Predeceased by parents Elsie and George, and daughter Cherie (Ken); survived by daughters Penny (Garry), Denise (Michael), Kelly (Doug), grandfather of Garry Jr., James, Jennifer, Roger, Scott, Ashley, Billy, Timmy; Great-grandfather of Brandon, Holden, Seth, James Jr., Ethan, Jayden and Cherielynn; brother of Donald (Dorothy) and Wayne (Kathleen, pre-deceased). Special thanks to Dr. Bashir and Katie Khambalia for their patience and caring. Thanks to nurses Kerri-Ann, Shirley, Tamara and Betty-Anne from the VON for their personal care. Thanks to the staff of West Lincoln Memorial for their kindness. A retired member of Ironworkers Local 736, he worked on many construction projects including the Skyway Bridge. An avid weight-lifter, he also loved fishing and watching his grandsons’ competitive swimming. Ken was also on a mission to beautify Winona one rose bush at a time. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Ave. Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday, July 8th from 1 to 4 p.m. A special interment service will be held in South River, Ontario in early August.
